Users can also select two options for Optimization: Fast Printing or Document Portability. Color Tab This tab enables users to select the Color Mode, Color Correction, Color Adjustment, and Color Reproduction. Color Mode - Users can select from Color (CMYK), Monochrome, or Custom. Selecting Custom enables users to further enhance image quality with Continuous Tone, Gloss Mode, or Monochrome. Continuous Tone - Used when printing photographs, this feature, also known as Contone, can be combined with Gloss Mode to provide a shinier appearance for photographic images. Gloss Mode - Activation of this feature provides a glossy finish to documents, typically desired when printing photographic images. The default setting for this printer is low gloss. Users may change this to high gloss in the KX Driver or through the FS-C5020N or FS-C5030N Operation Panel. Monochrome - Printing in this mode translates color into 256 shades of gray using black toner. Users can choose Monochrome printing for faster printing, easier faxing, or document archival. It can be combined with Gloss Mode, but not Continuous Tone. - 32 -
