Troubleshooting Multi Purpose Tray (except J10) IMPORTANT: In the case where J20 is displayed, refer to Paper misfeed in the Left Cover internal section and remove the paper. In the case where J40 is displayed, refer to Paper misfeed in the Left Cover internal section and remove the paper. When removing jammed paper, do not pull it out from the MP tray side. Left Cover (J20, J30, J40 to J50, J52 to J57, J60, J61)) When the paper misfeed has occurred in the Left Cover internal section, use the procedure below to clear it. IMPORTANT: The drum section inside the main body is sensitive to scratches and contaminants. When removing paper, be careful not to touch it or scratch it with your watch, ring, etc. 1 Pull the left cover handle up to open the left cover. CAUTION: The fixing unit is extremely hot. Take sufficient care when working in this area, as there is a danger of getting burned. 8 2 Remove the jammed paper without tearing it. OPERATION GUIDE 3 If the optional duplex unit is installed, raise the duplex unit and remove any paper. NOTE: If the paper does happen to tear, remove any loose scraps from inside the machine. 4 Close the left cover. 8-11

Multi Purpose Tray (except J10)
IMPORTANT:
In the case where
J20
is displayed, refer to Paper misfeed in the Left Cover internal section and
remove the paper.
In the case where
J40
is displayed, refer to Paper misfeed in the Left Cover internal section and remove the
paper.
When removing jammed paper, do not pull it out from the MP tray side.
Left Cover (J20, J30, J40 to J50, J52 to J57, J60, J61))
When the paper misfeed has occurred in the Left Cover internal section, use the procedure below to clear it.
IMPORTANT:
The drum section inside the main body is sensitive to scratches and contaminants. When

Pull the left cover handle up to open the left cover.
CAUTION:
The fixing unit is extremely hot. Take sufficient care when working in this area, as there is

Remove the jammed paper without tearing it.

duplex unit and remove any paper.
