BD390V-N_BUSALLV_MFL62344757 9/30/09 9:52 AM Page 30 Sampling Freq. (Digital Audio Output) [192KHz] - Select this if your A/V Receiver or Amplifier is capable of handling 192 KHz signals. [96KHz] - Select this if your A/V Receiver or Amplifier is NOT capable of handling 192 KHz signals. When this choice is made, this unit automatically converts any 192 KHz signals to 96 KHz so your system can decode them. [48KHz] - Select this if your A/V Receiver or Amplifier is NOT capable of handling 192 KHz and 96 KHz signal. When this choice is made, this unit automatically converts any 192 KHz and 96 KHz signals to 48 KHz so your system can decode them. Check the documentation for your A/V Receiver or Amplifier to verify its capabilities. DRC (Dynamic Range Control) When a disc encoded in Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus is playing back, you may wish to compress the dynamic range of the audio output (the difference between the loudest sounds and the quietest ones). This allows you to listen to a movie at a lower volume without losing clarity of sound. Set DRC to [On] for this effect. Note: The DRC setting can be changed only when a disc is not inserted or the unit is in complete stop mode. Speaker Setup To obtain the best possible sound via the 7.1CH ANALOG AUDIO OUT connection, set the speaker size and sound level of speakers you have connected. [2.1 Channel] - Select this if you connect only the FL, FR and SW jacks to the amplifier. [5.1 Channel] - Select this if you connect only the FL, FR, SL, SR, C and SW jacks to the amplifier. [7.1 Channel] - Select this if you connect all of the 7.1CH ANALOG AUDIO OUT jacks to the amplifier. Select a connection type among [2.1 Channel], [5.1 Channel] and [7.1 Channel] and press ENTER. The [Speaker Setup] menu appears. On the [Speaker Setup] menu, you can set each speaker using the following steps: 1. Use b B to select a speaker you want to set in the [Speaker] field. 2. Use v V to select the [Size] or [Level] option. And then press b B to select an appropriate setting. 3. Repeat step 1-2 to set other speakers. 4. Use v V to select [Test] and press ENTER to emit the test sound from the selected speaker. 5. Use v V to select [OK] to complete the speaker setting. Notes: • The [Speaker Setup] can be changed only when a disc is not inserted or the unit is in complete stop mode. • Because the amplifier is not included on this player for connecting speakers directly, the sounds are affected by the receiver's performance. Thus, the signal level may not be changed correctly when you change size and level. 30
