Safety Instructions When a connector is removed during installation, testing, or servicing, or when an energized fiber is broken, a risk of ocular exposure to optical energy that may be potentially hazardous occurs, depending on the laser output power. The primary hazards of exposure to laser radiation from an optical-fiber system are: • Damage to the eye by accidental exposure to a beam emitted by a laser source. • Damage to the eye from viewing a connector attached to a broken fiber or an energized fiber. Protective earthing is used as a safeguard (required when class I power source was provided). The equipment power supply cord shall be connected to a socket-outlet with earthing connection, or equivalent This equipment is only to be connected to PoE networks without routing to outside plants. DC power source: If the DC power source doesn't ship with the unit: This product is intended to be supplied by a Listed DC power source whose output is rated 48-57Vdc, 8A minimum and Tma 75 degrees C.
