Replacing the rear I/O module Note: Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the cover. Note: It may be helpful to place the computer face-down on a soft flat surface for this procedure. Lenovo recommends that you use a blanket, towel, or other soft cloth to protect the computer screen from scratches or other damage. To replace the rear I/O module: Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Remove the computer cover. Refer to "Removing the computer cover". Remove the back deco. Refer to "Removing the back deco". Remove the computer stand. Refer to "Removing the computer stand". Remove the EMI cover. Refer to "Removing the EMI cover". Remove the 4 screws that secure the rear I/O module and metal bracket to the chassis. Lift up the rear I/O module. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9. Disconnect the TV antenna cable from the rear I/O module by removing the 2 screws. Replacing the rear I/O module
Note:
Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the cover.

To replace the rear I/O module:
Step 1.
Remove the computer cover. Refer to “Removing the computer cover”.
Step 2.
Remove the back deco. Refer to “Removing the back deco”.
Step 3.
Remove the computer stand. Refer to “Removing the computer stand”.
Step 4.
Remove the EMI cover. Refer to “Removing the EMI cover”.
Step 5.
Remove the 4 screws that secure the rear I/O module and metal bracket to the chassis.
Step 6.
Lift up the rear I/O module.
Step 7.
Disconnect the TV antenna cable from the rear I/O module by removing the 2 screws.
Step 8.
Remove the 2 screws that secure the rear I/O module to the metal bracket.
Step 9.
Lift the rear I/O module up then slide it out.
