Faxing 94 • If you subscribe to a distinctive ring service provided by your telephone company, then make sure that you set the correct ring pattern for the printer. Otherwise, the printer does not receive faxes even if you have set it to receive faxes automatically. Setup 3: Printer is sharing the line with a telephone subscribed to voice mail service To connect: 1 Connect one end of the telephone cable that came with the printer to the port of the printer. 2 Connect the other end of the telephone cable to an active analog wall jack. 3 Connect the telephone to the port of the printer.
