14 System Settings Changing system settings The system settings provides access to advanced settings for your system and determines the way your system displays various user interface information on the display. Language Controls the language used on this unit for pages, menus and dialogs. Changing the language will make the unit restart. Text size Used for setting the text size on menus and dialogs. Default setting: Normal Key beeps Controls the loudness of the beep sound when a key is pressed. Default settings: Loud. Time Controls the local time zone offset, and the format of the time and date. Datum Most paper charts are made in the WGS84 format, which also is used by your unit. Text size

Default setting: Normal
Key beeps
Controls the loudness of the beep sound when a key is pressed.
Default settings: Loud.
Time
Controls the local time zone offset, and the format of the time and
date.
Datum
Most paper charts are made in the WGS84 format, which also is used
by your unit. If your paper charts are in a different format, you can
change the datum settings accordingly to match your paper charts.
