Settings Bearing alignment Used to align the bow of your vessel with the heading line (zero point). Bearing alignment is also referred to as zero bearing. To make adjustments to bearing alignment, switch the radar state to Transmit and set radar orientation to Heading Up. To select Heading up orientation: 1. F rom the Radar Page, press MENU. 2. Select Orientation and press ENTER. 3. U se the keypad to select Heading Up and press ENTER. 4. P ress EXIT. Before Bearing Alignment After Bearing Alignment Bow of ship is lined up with the tip of a peninsula; the bearing line is not. Bearing line aligned with peninsula, matching the alignment of the bow. To Adjust Bearing Alignment: 1. L ine up the bow of your vessel with a stationary target (lighthouse, pier, etc) at least 1 nm away 2. Select Adjust Bearing Alignment from the Radar Installation menu and press ENTER. The Installation Adjustment menu will appear. 3. Press the keypad left/right to rotate the radar image so the reference target is at 0° or 12 o'clock from the radar center. 69
