How to Adjust Standard Burner important: Adjustments must be made with two other burners in operation on a medium setting. This prevents the upper row of the flames from being set too low, resulting in the flame being extinguished when other burners are turned on. The flame can be adjusted using the adjustment screw in the center of the valve stem. The valve stem is located directly behind the control knob.
