This feature will not limit viewing if the DVD is not rated or coded. Check your DVDs and settings before letting children access the TV/DVD. The Parental feature affects only DVD viewing. It does not block TV 4 programming.To block TV viewing, change the V-Chip settings. Details are on pages 23-27. You will need a password to change the Parental settings or to play a blocked disc. Follow these steps to enter or change your password. ● Before you begin, press SELECT to put the TV/DVD in DVD mode.Then, press PLAY B or OPEN/CLOSE A to activate DVD mode. 1 While playback is stopped, press SETUP once. The TV SETUP menu appears. - TV SETUP - B LANGUAGE [ENGLISH] 1-2 3-4 2 Press SETUP again. The QUICK SETUP screen will appear. QUICK SETUP TV MODE DOLBY DIGITAL 4:3 LETTER BOX BITSTREAM ENTER 3 Press s or B to select CUSTOM at the top of the menu, then press ENTER. LANGUAGE AUDIO SUBTITLE DISC MENU ORIGINAL OFF ENGLISH ENTER 4 Press s or B to select (PARENTAL), then press ENTER. ● If this is the first time you set a password, this menu will appear. PASSWORD ENTER Press the Number buttons to enter a 4-digit password. The password will appear on the screen.Write it down so you don't forget it. Press ENTER, and proceed to step 7. ● If you have set a password before, this menu will appear. PARENTAL Enter current password. ENTER Press the Number buttons to enter your current 4-digit password. Asterisks ( * ) will appear instead of your password.This protects its identity. Press ENTER, and proceed to step 7. Instructions continue on the next page.
