iTAP® method iTAP software provides a predictive text entry method that lets you enter a word using one key press per letter. This can be faster than Tap method, because your phone combines the key presses into common words. For example, if you press 7 7 6 4, your phone displays letter combinations that match your key presses: 6 ÁÛ Msg Îì 433 This is a prog ram Press S up to accept program. Press Select to lock highlighted combination. prog proh proi pro4 Select Delete Press Delete to delete last letter. Press S right to select another combination. If you want a different word (such as Progress), continue pressing keypad keys to enter the remaining characters. enter words In a text entry screen, you can press * to switch entry methods. An indicator tells you which method is active (see page 49).
