To activate the talking phone feature: Find it: s > w Settings > Personalize > Sound Settings > Talking Phone > On AGPS & your location Note: This Motorola mobile phone incorporates Assisted Global Positioning System (AGPS) technology that can be used by emergency services to help determine a user's location. This functionality is required by law and cannot be deactivated. However, AGPS technology also can be used with certain location-based software applications-for example, to provide driving directions-which may track and monitor a user's location. Users who prefer not to permit such tracking and monitoring should avoid using such applications. Your phone uses the Automatic Location Information (ALI) feature, along with AGPS satellite signals, to tell the network where you are physically located. Note: ALI may not work in all locations and may not be available due to network, environmental, or interference issues. When ALI is set to Location > On, your phone shows the ë (ALI on) indicator. Services may use your known location to provide useful information (for example, driving directions, or the location of the nearest bank). Your phone prompts you when the network or a service asks for your location. You can refuse at this point. When ALI is set to Location > Off, your phone displays the â (ALI off) indicator, and the phone does not send location information unless you call the emergency phone number (such as 911).
