Getting Started Turning On/Off Your Radio Turn Knob Display Normal Menu Mode Turn knob on the top of the radio clockwise to use. Turn the knob counterclockwise to turn the radio Off. P 22 38 The radio chirps and the display will show all feature icons that your radio has available for a brief period. Getting Started Display will Show the Channel 1-22 and Interference 22 38 Eliminator Code 0-38. j Radio Etiquette Your radio has multiple Channels shared on a "take turns" basis; other groups may be talking on the Channels. For uninterrupted communications, do not talk over someone who is already using the Channel - your message may not be completely heard. Try changing the Channel to avoid Channel congestion or use the J (T5820) or Q (T5800) to check for Channel activity. If you hear static while holding down J, Channel is clear to use. 10

Radio Etiquette
Your radio has multiple Channels shared on a “take turns” basis; other groups may
be talking on the Channels. For uninterrupted communications, do not talk over
someone who is already using the Channel – your message may not be completely
heard. Try changing the Channel to avoid Channel congestion or use the
