Problem My battery didn't last as long as I expected. What can I do to extend battery life I am unable to record a voice note, voice name, or voice shortcut. My TTY device doesn't work with my phone. I plugged the data cable into my phone but my phone did not beep. How do I know if the data cable is ready to go? Solution Your battery's performance is affected by charge time, feature use, temperature changes, backlight use, and other factors. For tips on extending your battery life, see page 24. Try moving to a quieter location to make your voice recording. Hold the phone about four inches (10 centimeters) from your mouth, and speak directly into the phone in a normal tone of voice. Your phone must be set to a TTY mode for the phone to detect your TTY device. See page 124. The beep indicates that you are set up correctly. If you did not hear a beep, make sure that both ends of the data cable are connected- the smaller end to your phone and the larger end to your computer. Also, your computer may have deactivated the port to save power. Try opening an application that uses the port, like a fax or dial-up application, to automatically activate the port.
