Making and Answering Calls For basic instructions on how to make a call, end a call, and answer a call, see pages 20-21. Redialing a Number If you hear an ordinary busy signal: Using Automatic Redial If the network is busy, you hear a fast busy signal, and your phone displays Call Failed. With automatic redial, your phone automatically redials the number for four minutes. When the call goes through, your phone rings or vibrates one time, displays Redial Successful, and then connects the call. You must turn on automatic redial to use the feature. See the "Auto Redial" option on page 55. When automatic redial is turned off, you can manually activate the feature to redial a phone number. If you hear an ordinary busy signal:
