charge the battery Tip: Motorola batteries have circuitry that protects the battery from damage from overcharging. New batteries are not fully charged. Before you can use your phone, install and charge the battery as shown in the battery installation and battery charging sections. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. 1 Insert the charger into the connector on your phone. 2 Plug the other end of the charger into an appropriate electrical outlet. 3 When your phone displays Charge Complete, remove the charger.
