Viewfinder options for rear and front cameras Front camera Switch to the front camera. Video Switch to video. See Additional viewfinder options for video camera for options. Photo Tap to take a photo. Touch and hold to take a burst of photos. Additional viewfinder options for video & photo camera Torch In video mode, macro photo, and macro video modes, turn on a flashlight. Stabilization In video mode, remove some of the shakiness of the video. Photo and video modes To find these options, tap Menu or swipe right on the camera screen: Photo modes Portrait Cutout Macro Spot color Cinemagraph Keep your subject in focus and blur the surrounding scene as little or as much as you like. For more, see Take a photo or video using portrait mode. Cut out the subject in the foreground and replace the background. For more, see Change or add a background. Capture an up-close, detailed photo (up to 2cm away). Pick one color from the viewfinder while everything else becomes black & white. Animate part of a photo, while the rest remains still. Or freeze parts of a video for an artistic effect. Photo modes Panorama Group selfie Live filter Help Take a wide-angle shot. Use the on-screen guide to slowly pan while you are taking the photo. In front camera mode, take a wide-angle selfie for groups. Choose a filter to apply to your photo. See help for using the camera. Video modes Macro Slow motion Timelapse Capture an up-close, detailed video (up to 2cm away). Take a video that will play in slow motion. Take a video using timelapse to make a longer video play faster. You can set the playback speed as 4x, 8x, 16x, and 32x (times) faster than a regular video. Camera settings To find these options, tap : Options Photo size (rear or selfie camera) Video size (rear or selfie camera) HDR Selfie photo mirror Set the photo resolution for the camera. Set the video resolution. Turn on HDR (high dynamic range) effect for better pictures in challenging lighting situations, such as outdoors. Turn on to take a mirrored selfie (the photo is mirrored after you take it). If your phone has Active Photos, it must be turned off to use this feature. Apps
