A prompt appears requesting the users old password. In the absence of an old password leave the area blank. The operator must press enter to execute the command. The system then prompts the user for a new password then a prompt to confirm the new password. If the new password and the confirmed password match a message is displayed. This command saves passwords and all other changes to the device. If you do not issue this command, all configurations will be lost when a power cycle is performed on the switch or when the switch is reset. Quick Startup IP Address
To view the network parameters the operator can access the device by the following three
methods.
Simple Network Management Protocol - SNMP
Telnet
Web browser
Note:
Helpful Hint - do a save config after changing the network parameters so that the
configurations are not lost.
show loginsession
Displays all of the login session information
config users passwd
