Use a TFTP Server to Upgrade the Access Point If someone (usually the network administrator) places new firmware on a TFTP server in the network, you can load the firmware from the TFTP server and upgrade the firmware of the access point. To upgrade the firmware of the access point from a TFTP server: 1. Open a web browser from a computer that is connected to the same network as the access point or to the access point directly through an Ethernet cable or WiFi connection. 2. Enter the IP address that is assigned to the access point. A login window opens. 3. Enter the access point user name and password. The default user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password are case-sensitive. The Dashboard page displays. 4. Select Management > Maintenance > Upgrade > Firmware Upgrade. The Firmware Upgrade page displays. 5. From the Upgrade Options menu, select TFTP. 6. Specify the following server settings: • Firmware File Name. The name of the access point firmware file on the TFTP server. • TFTP Server IP. The firmware upgrade process takes several minutes. When the upgrade is complete, the access point
restarts.

Use a TFTP Server to Upgrade the Access Point
If someone (usually the network administrator) places new firmware on a TFTP server in the network, you
can load the firmware from the TFTP server and upgrade the firmware of the access point.
To upgrade the firmware of the access point from a TFTP server:
1.
Open a web browser from a computer that is connected to the same network as the access point or to
the access point directly through an Ethernet cable or WiFi connection.
2.
Enter the IP address that is assigned to the access point.
A login window opens.

Enter the access point user name and password.
The default user name is

The Dashboard page displays.

Select
Management > Maintenance > Upgrade > Firmware Upgrade

From the
Upgrade Options
menu, select
