White Balance Process pictures to produce natural colors under different types of light. Option Description Auto White balance automatically adjusted to suit lighting conditions. Best choice in most situations. White bal. preset Neutral-colored object used as reference to set white balance under unusual lighting conditions (see below). Daylight White balance adjusted for direct sunlight. Incandescent Use under incandescent lighting. Fluorescent Use under most types of fluorescent lighting. Cloudy Use when taking pictures under overcast skies. Flash Use with the flash. At settings other than Auto, the current setting is shown by an icon in the display ( 6-7).
