Taking Photographs-Advanced Photography Adjusting Contrast and Brightness: The Image Adjustment Menu In User Set A, the camera automatically performs image compensation for optimal brightness and contrast before recording the photograph to the memory card. In User Sets 1, 2, and 3, the imageadjustment sub-menu gives you control over this image-compensation operation.
