Taking Photographs-Advanced Photography Restrictions on Noise Reduction NOISE REDUCTION settings of On and Clear Image Mode can not be used in combination with BSS ( 112), bracketing ( 124), or CONTINUOUS settings other than Single ( 108). Clear Image Mode can not be used with image sizes of FULL, 3 : 2, or UXGA. If any of these image sizes is in effect when Clear Image Mode is chosen, image size will be set to SXGA while Clear Image Mode is in effect, reverting to the original size when Clear Image Mode is turned off. Clear Image Mode Clear Image Mode may not produce the desired results with moving subjects or if the camera is shaken or moved during shooting. Using the Flash When Clear Image Mode is on, both the built-in Speedlight and any external Speedlights turn off automatically. Confirming Noise Reduction While noise reduction is in effect, an NR icon appears in the monitor. 129
