Shooting Time-lapse Movies The camera can automatically capture 300 still images at a specified interval to create time-lapse movies (e 1080/30p) that are approximately 10 seconds long. Enter shooting mode M A (shooting mode) button M b (second icon from the top*) M K M HI M N (time-lapse movie) M k button * The icon of the last scene selected is displayed. Type Interval time Recording time O Cityscape (10 minutes) (default setting) 2 seconds 10 minutes P Landscape (25 minutes) 5 seconds 25 minutes Q Sunset (50 minutes) 10 seconds 50 minutes R Night sky (150 minutes)1 30 seconds 2 hours 30 minutes S Star trails (150 minutes)2 30 seconds 2 hours 30 minutes 1 Suited for recording the movement of stars. The focus is fixed at infinity. 2 Star movement appears as lines of light due to image processing. The focus is fixed at infinity. 1 Use the multi selector HI to select a type, and press the k button. Cityscape (10 minutes) Shooting Features 2 Select whether or not to fix AE-L off exposure (brightness), and press the k button (except for R and S). • When AE-L on is selected, the exposure is fixed based on the first image. Select AE-L off when shooting under conditions with extreme changes in brightness, such as during sunset. 28
