Set Vibration reduction to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting. Option g Normal (default setting) Z Active k Off Description Compensates camera shake that commonly occurs when shooting at telephoto zoom positions or slow shutter speeds. The camera automatically detects the panning direction and only compensates for vibration caused by camera shake. When the camera is panned horizontally, for example, vibration reduction only reduces vertical shake. If the camera is panned vertically, vibration reduction only compensates for horizontal shake. Description
g
Normal
(default setting)
Compensates camera shake that commonly occurs when
shooting at telephoto zoom positions or slow shutter
speeds. The camera automatically detects the panning
direction and only compensates for vibration caused by
camera shake.
When the camera is panned horizontally, for example,
vibration reduction only reduces vertical shake. If the
camera is panned vertically, vibration reduction only
compensates for horizontal shake.
Z
Active
Camera shake is automatically compensated during
shooting if a comparatively large camera shake is likely to
occur when shooting from a car or under poor foothold
conditions.
k
Off
Vibration reduction is disabled.
