C Focusing in Scene Auto Selector Scene Mode • When the camera recognizes a human face in scene auto selector scene mode, it focuses on that face. See "Face Priority" (A 56) for more information. • When the shooting mode indicator d or i (close-up) is displayed, the camera automatically selects the focus area (up to nine areas) containing the subject closest to the camera as same as when Auto is selected for AF area mode (A 55). C Functions Available in Scene Auto Selector Scene Mode • The touch shutter (A 34) or touch AF/AE (A 38) can be enabled. • U (auto; default setting) and W (off) flash modes can be specified (A 42). When U (auto) is applied, the camera automatically selects the optimum flash mode for the scene mode it has selected. When W (off) is applied, the flash does not fire, regardless of shooting conditions. • Self-timer (A 44) setting can be applied. • Macro mode is disabled. Macro mode is only enabled when the camera selects Close-up scene mode. • When F is tapped to display the C (scene auto selector) menu, the Image mode (A 48) and Exposure comp. (A 52) setting can be applied. Changes made to these settings apply to all shooting modes (except movie recording). 61
