Flash Mode You can select a flash mode to match the shooting conditions. Enter shooting mode M flexible button 2 (Z) M flexible button 2 (x Flash) Available Flash Modes w Auto flash The flash fires when necessary, such as in dim lighting. y Flash off The flash does not fire. • We recommend using a tripod to stabilize the camera when shooting in dark surroundings. x Always fire flash The flash fires whenever a picture is taken. This may be improved if you move the zoom control slightly toward the telephoto position. The camera cannot shoot images. - Off: The flash does not fire when a picture is taken. • If the battery level is low, the screen turns off while the flash is charging. Notes About Shooting with the Flash
When using the flash at the wide-angle zoom position, the area around the image may be
