Choose a Size Set the size of still images and movies. Choose a Photo Size Select the combination of image size and compression ratio to be used when saving images. The larger the image size, the larger the size at which it can be printed, and the lower the compression ratio, the higher the quality of the images, but the number of images that can be saved is reduced. C Number of Images That Can Be Saved • The approximate number of images that can be saved can be checked on the screen when shooting (A24). • Note that due to JPEG compression, the number of images that can be saved may vary greatly depending on the image content, even when using memory cards with the same capacity and the same photo size setting.
