Long Time-Exposures (M Mode Only) Select the following shutter speeds for long time- exposures of moving lights, the stars, night scenery, or fireworks. • Bulb (A): The shutter remains open while the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down. To prevent blur, use a tripod or an Length of exposure: 35 s optional wireless remote controller (0 237) or Aperture: f/25 remote cord (0 237). • Time (&): Start the exposure using the shutter-release button on the camera or on an optional remote control, remote cord, or wireless remote controller. Note that noise (bright spots, randomly-spaced bright pixels, or fog) may be present in long exposures; before shooting, choose On for Long exposure NR in the shooting menu (0 180). ❚❚ Bulb 1 Rotate the mode dial to M. Mode dial 2 Choose the shutter speed. Rotate the command dial to choose a shutter speed of Bulb (A). Command dial 3 Take the photograph. After focusing, press the shutter-release button on the camera, optional wireless remote controller or remote cord all the way down.
