Flash Control Modes t Camera's metering mode and i-TTL flash control • When the camera's metering mode is changed to spot metering while i-TTL balanced fill-flash is in use, the i-TTL flash control automatically changes to the standard i-TTL flash. • The i-TTL flash control automatically changes to i-TTL balanced fill-flash, after changing the camera's metering mode from spot metering to other metering modes. C v When insufficient flash output for correct exposure is indicated • When the flash-ready indicators on the SB-500 and in the camera's viewfinder flash slowly for approximately 3 sec. after firing, underexposure due to insufficient flash output may have occurred. • To compensate, use a wider aperture (smaller f-number) or higher ISO sensitivity, or move the flash unit closer to the subject and reshoot.
