14 Applications Applications Note: Your phone must be switched on to use this function. Do not switch the phone on when wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger. Note: Applications is a network dependent feature and will not be available in all phones. Please check with your service provider for more information. This menu allows the management of JavaTM applications installed on your phone or downloaded from your PC using Nokia PC Suite. Note: This feature shares memory space with other features. For more information, see "Memory use" on page 12. • LAUNCHING AN APPLICATION 1 Press Menu 11-1 (Applications > Select app.) and scroll to an application (name depends on the application) and press Options. 2 Scroll to Open and press Select. If the selection is a single application it will launch. Otherwise, a list of applications is displayed corresponding to the selected application set. Scroll to the desired application and press Select. The application launches. • OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR APPLICATIONS • Delete -to delete the application or application set from the phone. • Check version-to check if a new version of the application is available for download from the mobile Internet services. • Details-to give additional information about the application. Note: Check version and Internet link may not be available for all applications. • DOWNLOAD A NEW APPLICATION You can use the Internet to download Java applications to your PC, then use the Java installer from PC Suite and the DKU-5 Data Cable to download the applications in your phone. Note: Nokia does not provide any warranty for non-Nokia applications. If you choose to download and install an application, you should take the same precautions, for security or content, as you would with any Internet site. Check memory status Allows you to view memory available for Applications 1 Press Menu 11-2 (Applications > Memory). 2 You will see the amount of Free memory and the Total memory. 19 Nokia One Year Limited Warranty	85
1 The limited warranty for the Product extends for ONE (1) year beginning on the date of the purchase of the Product. This one year period is extended by each whole day that the Product is out of your possession for repair under this warranty.	85
2 The limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser (“Consumer”) of the Product and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/end-user.	85
3 The limited warranty extends only to Consumers who purchase the Product in the United States of America.	85
4 During the limited warranty period, Nokia will repair, or replace, at Nokia’s sole option, any defective parts, or any parts t...	85
5 Upon request from Nokia, the Consumer must prove the date of the original purchase of the Product by a dated bill of sale or dated itemized receipt.	85
6 The Consumer shall bear the cost of shipping the Product to Nokia in Melbourne, Florida. Nokia shall bear the cost of shipping the Product back to the Consumer after the completion of service under this limited warranty.	85
7 The Consumer shall have no coverage or benefits under this limited warranty if any of the following conditions are applicable:	85
a The Product has been subjected to abnormal use, abnormal conditions, improper storage, exposure to moisture or dampness, unaut...	85
b The Product has been damaged from external causes such as collision with an object, or from fire, flooding, sand, dirt, windst...	85
c Nokia was not advised in writing by the Consumer of the alleged defect or malfunction of the Product within fourteen (14) days after the expiration of the applicable limited warranty period.	85
d The Product serial number plate or the enhancement data code has been removed, defaced or altered.	86
e The defect or damage was caused by the defective function of the cellular system or by inadequate signal reception by the external antenna, or viruses or other software problems introduced into the Product.	86
8 Nokia does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Product. If a problem develops during the limited warranty period, the Consumer shall take the following step- by-step procedure:	86
a The Consumer shall return the Product to the place of purchase for repair or replacement processing.	86
