Ringing volume increases (gets louder) if the phone is not answered. The phone rings once to indicate an incoming call. The phone beeps once to indicate an incoming call. The phone makes no sound. 10 Set the ring volume You can set the default ringing volume for incoming voice calls and message alert tones. 1 Press Menu 3 (Profiles) 2 Use or to scroll to the profile for which you want to set the ringing volume, and press Select. 3 Highlight Customize and press Select. 4 Scroll to Ringing volume and press Select. 5 Scroll through the options. When you hear the volume level you wish to use, press Select. Note: As you scroll through the ringing options, you can listen to a sample of each. Although the ringing sample for level 4 and level 5 are the same, ringing level 5 will produce very loud ringing. Set the ringing tone The ringing tone is the sound your phone makes when you receive a call. You can set the ringing tone to a specific sound, or to a tune, to personalize how the phone rings.
