TCP/IP Settings n Get IP Address Specifies whether to automatically or manually retrieve the necessary information for using TCP/IP (IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address) from the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server with AutoIP feature, DHCP server, BOOTP, or RARP. For the addresses you need to set manually, contact your network administrator. The default is [DHCP/Autonet]. Note • Changing the setting from [DHCP/Autonet], [DHCP], [BOOTP], or [RARP] to [Manual] may display the IP address setting screen. If it is displayed, set the IP address manually. n IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway Address *3 (refer to P. 83) These items are used to check the addresses that has been automatically obtained or to set the addresses manually. Enter the address in the format of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. You can set values between 0 and 255 for xxx. Important • Incorrect IP address may affect the overall network. • If you enter an incorrect address when setting the subnet mask (e.g. when "0" is set for the bit in the middle), the address returns to the previous values even if you press button after setting values.You cannot move to other menu items until you have set the correct values. • Set the address only when you have to explicitly specify the gateway address.You do not need to set the address if the gateway address can be set automatically. OkiWebRemote Specifies whether to use OkiWebRemote. When [Enable] is specified, you can use OkiWebRemote to display the printer and job status on the web browser and change the printer settings. The default is [Enable]. Note • To enable OkiWebRemote, you need to set both the IP addresses of a computer and the printer. Telnet Specifies whether to enable or disable the telnet port when the printer turns on. The default is [Enable], which means the telnet port is available. Get IP Address
Specifies whether to automatically or manually retrieve the necessary information for using
TCP/IP (IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address) from the DHCP (Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol) server with AutoIP feature, DHCP server, BOOTP, or RARP. For
the addresses you need to set manually, contact your network administrator. The default is
[DHCP/Autonet].
Note
Changing the setting from [DHCP/Autonet], [DHCP], [BOOTP], or [RARP] to [Manual] may display the IP
address setting screen. If it is displayed, set the IP address manually.

These items are used to check the addresses that has been automatically obtained or to
set the addresses manually. Enter the address in the format of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. You can set
values between 0 and 255 for xxx.
Important
Incorrect IP address may affect the overall network.
If you enter an incorrect address when setting the subnet mask (e.g. when “0” is set for the bit in the
middle), the address returns to the previous values even if you press <MENU> button after setting
values.You cannot move to other menu items until you have set the correct values.
Set the address only when you have to explicitly specify the gateway address.You do not need to set the
address if the gateway address can be set automatically.
OkiWebRemote
Specifies whether to use OkiWebRemote.
When [Enable] is specified, you can use OkiWebRemote to display the printer and job
status on the web browser and change the printer settings. The default is [Enable].
Note
To enable OkiWebRemote, you need to set both the IP addresses of a computer and the printer.
Telnet
Specifies whether to enable or disable the telnet port when the printer turns on. The default
is [Enable], which means the telnet port is available.

WINS Server
