How to Load the Paper Using the Multi-Purpose Tray (MPT) Use the multi-purpose tray (MPT) when you want to print on plain paper, postcards, envelopes, OHP film, or labels. The side you want to print on should be placed face up. After loading the paper, configure its size, type, and thickness by using the operator panel. 1 1 Hold the multi-purpose tray (MPT) on both sides, and fold it down. 2 Multi-Purpose Tray (MPT) 3 2 Pull the folded paper support forward between manual guides. 4 Adjust the manual guides to fit the paper width. Manual Guide Multi-Purpose Tray (MPT) Manual Guide 5 Press down the back of the multipurpose tray. 6 With the side you want to print on facing up, insert the edge of the paper into the back of the multipurpose tray (MPT). 4 5 3 Pull the paper support out. 6 Multi-Purpose Tray (MPT) Note ••Loaded paper should not exceed the [ ] mark on the manual guide. You can load up to 100 pages at 82g/ m2. 7 Push the blue set button. Set Button (Blue)  Paper Support - 64 - Note ••Do not mix papers of different size, type, or thickness. ••When adding paper to the multi-purpose tray, take out any paper already inserted, then add the extra paper and realign the paper into a tidy stack. ••Curled or warped postcards or envelopes may cause misfeeds. Try to use material that is not curled. Any curl of 2 mm or more should be corrected. ••Do not place any material on the multi-purpose tray other than paper for printing. Do not use excessive force when raising or pushing the multi-purpose tray.
