Getting to know your camera better When you get an error message on the camera... Monitor indication q CARD ERROR q WRITEPROTECT > MEMORY FULL q CARD FULL L NO PICTURE r PICTURE ERROR r THE IMAGE CANNOT BE EDITED CARD-COVER OPEN g BATTERY EMPTY CARD SETUP POWER OFF FORMAT SET OK MEMORY SETUP POWER OFF MEMORY FORMAT SET OK Possible cause There is a problem with the card. Writing to the card is prohibited. The internal memory has no available memory and cannot store any new data. The card has no available memory and cannot store any new data. There are no pictures in the internal memory or on the card. There is a problem with the selected picture and it cannot be played back on this camera. If pictures taken by other cameras are selected, they cannot be edited. The battery/card compartment cover is open. The battery is empty. This card cannot be used in this camera. Or, the card is not formatted. There is an error in the internal memory. Corrective action This card cannot be used. Insert a new card. The recorded image has been protected (read-only) on a computer. Download the image to a computer and cancel the read-only setting. Insert a card or erase unwanted data. Before erasing, backup the data of important pictures using the card, or download such pictures to a computer. Replace the card or erase unwanted data. Before erasing, download important pictures to a computer. The internal memory or the card contains no pictures. Record pictures. Use image processing software to view the picture on a computer. If that cannot be done, the image file is damaged. Use image processing software to edit the pictures. Close the battery/card compartment cover. Charge the battery. Format the card or replace. • Select [POWER OFF] and press Q. Insert a new card. • Select [FORMAT] [YES] and press Q. All data on the card is erased. Select [MEMORY FORMAT] [YES] and press Q.
