Preparatory adjustments Handling the stylus The tip of the stylus is extremely delicate. Be careful not to break or bend the stylus when removing the stylus cover. If the stylus tip is damaged, promptly replace it with a new stylus. If a damaged stylus is used, it will result in damage to the record. 3. Release the arm clamp. 1. Horizontal balance The horizontal balance of the tone arm needs to be adjusted first in order to ensure that an appropriate stylus pressure is applied on the record. Turn the counterweight to adjust the tone arm so that it returns to an almost horizontal state (*) when the hand is released. During adjustment, take care not to allow the stylus to touch the rubber mat or the turntable. * Ensure that the tone arm is balanced, so that the end of the tone arm is neither too high nor too low. Preparatory adjustments
The horizontal balance of the tone arm needs to be
adjusted first in order to ensure that an appropriate stylus
pressure is applied on the record. Carry out the
adjustment with the power turned off.
1.
Set the anti-skating knob to “0”.
2.
Remove the translucent stylus cover, taking care not to
damage the stylus.
3.
Release the arm clamp.
4.
Free the tone arm from the arm rest.
Leave the lifter lever in a lowered state.

Turn the counterweight to adjust the tone arm so that it
returns to an almost horizontal state (*) when the hand
is released. During adjustment, take care not to allow
the stylus to touch the rubber mat or the turntable.
