Display! Error Messages If the unit detects a problem, one or more of the following messages will appear on the display. Display message CALL SERVICE CHANGE DRUM CHECK DOCUMENT CHECK DRUM CHECK MEMORY COVER OPEN Cause & solution qThere is something wrong with the unit. Contact our service personnel. qThere is something wrong with the drum unit. Replace the drum unit and the other cartridge (p. 68, 69). qThe document was not fed into the unit properly. Reinsert the document. If misfeeding occurs frequently, clean the document feeder rollers (p. 73) and try again. If the problem remains, adjust the feeder pressure (p. 72). qThe drum unit was not inserted properly. Reinsert it correctly (p. 12, 13). qMemory (telephone numbers, parameters, etc.) has been erased. Re-program. qThe front cover is open. Close it. FAILED PICK UP FAX IN MEMORY FAX MEMORY FULL MEMORY FULL MODEM ERROR qRecording paper was not fed into the unit properly. Reinsert the recording paper (p. 71). qThe unit has a document in memory. See the other displayed message instructions to print out the document. qMemory is full of received documents due to a lack of recording paper or a recording paper jam. Install paper or clear the jammed paper. qWhen performing memory transmission, the document being stored exceeds the memory capacity of the unit. Transmit the entire document manually. qWhen making a copy, the document being stored exceeds the memory capacity of the unit. Press STOP to clear the message. CHECK DOCUMENT
The drum unit was not inserted properly. Reinsert it correctly
(p. 12, 13).
CHECK DRUM
Memory (telephone numbers, parameters, etc.) has been erased.
Re-program.
CHECK MEMORY
The front cover is open. Close it.
COVER OPEN
Recording paper was not fed into the unit properly. Reinsert the
recording paper (p. 71).
FAILED PICK UP
The unit has a document in memory. See the other displayed
message instructions to print out the document.
FAX IN MEMORY
Memory is full of received documents due to a lack of recording
paper or a recording paper jam. Install paper or clear the jammed
paper.
When performing memory transmission, the document being
