Preparation Understanding the indicators LINE buttons {LINE1}, {LINE2} CELLULAR SELECT button ({1}-{5}) Base unit line buttons The line buttons ({LINE1}, {LINE2}) show the status of each line as follows. Status Light off Light on Flashing rapidly Flashing Meaning The line is available. The line is in use. A call is being received. A call is put on hold or the answering system is answering a call. Base unit CELLULAR SELECT button ({1} to {5}) The CELLULAR SELECT button ({1} to {5}) shows the status as follows. Status Light off Yellow-green Red (light on) Red (flashing rapidly) Red (flashing) Meaning A cellular phone is either not registered or registered but not connected to the base unit (page 59, 60) The cellular phone is connected and the cellular line is available. Flashing: the cellular phone is being registered to the base unit. The cellular line is in use. A cellular call is being received.
