Intercom Call share This feature allows the handset or base unit to join an existing outside call (land line call). Joining a conversation Y ^ Handset To join the conversation, press {LINE1} or {LINE2} to select the line that is being used by another extension for an outside call. L "Conference" is displayed. Base unit To join the conversation, press {LINE1} or {LINE2} to select the line that is being used by another extension for an outside call. L "Conference" is displayed. Note for handset and base unit: L Multiple parties can join a conference call. The possible number of participating parties depends on the resources available for wireless communication. When another participating party cannot join a conversation, "System is busy. Please try again later." is displayed. Call privacy Y ^ Call privacy allows you to prevent other users from joining your conversations with outside callers. To allow other users to join your conversations, leave this feature off. Handset Press {PRIVACY} during an outside call. L When this feature is turned on "PRIVACY" is shown in the top of the display. L To turn this feature off, press {PRIVACY} again. "PRIVACY" disappears from the display. Note: L While you are using both lines simultaneously, or you are on a conference call, {PRIVACY} is not displayed. Use the following procedure to turn this feature on or off. Press {MENU} during an outside call, then press {2} to select "Privacy on" or "Privacy off". Base unit 1 Press {MENU} during an outside call. 2 To turn this feature on, select "Privacy on". To turn this feature off, select "Privacy off". 3 {SET} L When this feature is turned on "PRIVACY" is shown in the lower right.
