Page 21 highlights

Answering Calls When a call is being received, the unit rings and the called line indicator flashes quickly. You can answer a call by simply lifting the handset. The line is automatically selected, when you answer the call. (To change the line selection, see page 41.) If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the calling party information will be displayed after the first ring (p. 24). In order to view the Caller ID information, please wait until the second ring to answer a call. Basic Operation
When a call is being received, the unit rings and the called line indicator
flashes quickly. You can answer a call by simply lifting the handset. The
line is automatically selected, when you answer the call. (To change the
line selection, see page 41.)
If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the calling party information will be
