Connecting your equipment 02 Using external antennas To improve FM reception Use an F connector (not supplied) to connect an external FM antenna. ANTENNA FM UNBAL 75 F connector To improve AM reception Connect a 5 m to 6 m (16 ft. to 20 ft.) length of vinyl-coated wire to the AM antenna terminal without disconnecting the supplied AM loop antenna. For the best possible reception, suspend horizontally outdoors. Outdoor antenna ANTENNA FM UNBAL 75 AM LOOP Connecting to the front panel video terminal Front video connections are accessed via the front panel using the INPUT SELECTOR or VIDEO2 button on the remote control. There are standard audio/video jacks. Hook them up the same way you made the rear panel connections. • Push down on the PUSH OPEN tab to access the front video connections. Using external antennas
To improve FM reception
Use an F connector (not supplied) to connect an external FM
antenna.
To improve AM reception
Connect a 5 m to 6 m (16 ft. to 20 ft.) length of vinyl-coated
wire to the AM antenna terminal without disconnecting the
supplied AM loop antenna.
For the best possible reception, suspend horizontally
outdoors.
Connecting to the front panel video terminal
Front video connections are accessed via the front panel
using the
INPUT SELECTOR
or
VIDEO2
button on the remote
control. There are standard audio/video jacks. Hook them up
the same way you made the rear panel connections.
• Push down on the
PUSH OPEN
tab to access the front
video connections.
Connecting an iPod
This receiver has a dedicated iPod terminal that will allow you
to control playback of audio content from your iPod using the
controls of this receiver.
Switch the receiver into standby, and then use the iPod
cable to connect your iPod to the iPod terminal on the front
panel of this receiver.
• Push down on the
PUSH OPEN
tab to access the
iPod
terminal.
