SAFETY RULES WARNING: READ ALL SAFETY WARNINGS AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury. This enables better control of the polesaw in unexpected situations. • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts. • If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust-related hazards. • Keep all children, bystanders, visitors, and animals out of the work area while starting or cutting with the polesaw. Distractions can cause you to lose control. ELECTRICAL SAFETY • Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. • Do not expose the polesaw to rain or wet locations. Water entering a polesaw will increase the risk of electric shock. • Do not operate near electrical power lines. The unit has not been designed to provide protection from electric shock in the event of contact with overhead electric lines.
