TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN CUSTOMER SERVICE GROUP BULLETIN NUMBER: FW740 - 013 APPLICABLE MODEL: FW740 01/16/97 SUBJECT: PARTS CATALOG UPDATES GENERAL: The following Parts Updates are being issued for all FW740 Parts Catalogs. The following informatnio should be incorporated into all existing Parts Catalog documentation. • UPDATE NO. 1 - PRESSURE ROLLER STRIPPER - To prevent the Pressure Roller from being damaged, the following modifications have been made. 1. The material of the Strippers has been changed from metal to a Teflon-coated resin to decrease the friction level on the Pressure Roller. 2. Springs have been added to press the Strippers against the Pressure Roller. 3. A Stopper Guide Plate has been added to prevent the Pressure Roller from contacting the Paper Exit Cover when it is bent. NOTE: The proper fusing temperature setting for each type of throughput material is very important to keep the Fusing and Pressure Rollers in good condition for as long as possible. Please refer to Tech Service Bulletin No. 010. Please also refer to Tech Service Bulletin No. 011 regarding how to judge whether the Pressure Roller is still usable or not. 40 31 43 42 41 ELECTRICAL F S M PARTS INTERCHANGEABILITY CHART: 0 OLD and NEW parts can be used in both OLD and NEW machines. 2 NEW parts CAN NOT be used in OLD machines. NEW parts CAN NOT be used in OLD machines. 3/S Must be installed as a set on units manufactured prior to the S/N cut-in. GENERAL:
The following Parts Updates are being issued for all FW740 Parts Catalogs.
The following informatio
n
should be incorporated into all existing Parts Catalog documentation.
UPDATE NO. 1 -
PRESSURE ROLLER STRIPPER - To prevent the Pressure Roller from being
damaged, the following modifications have been made.
1. The material of the Strippers has been changed from metal to a Teflon-coated resin to decrease the
friction level on the Pressure Roller.
2. Springs have been added to press the Strippers against the Pressure Roller.
3. A Stopper Guide Plate has been added to prevent the Pressure Roller from contacting the Paper Exit
Cover when it is bent.
NOTE:
