ASM button ■In the AS, M modes, you can change the aperture value and shutter speed by pressing this button. (p.14, 15) ■You can set the focus manually in the M mode by pressing the ASM button. ●Manual Focus : Where the automatic focusing is not available, for example, in very dark conditions, you can set the focus manually. Please be careful when using the manual focus as the picture can be blurred easily. ●How to use the Manual Focus 1. In the M mode, press the ASM button twice and Manual Focus bar will display. 2. Set the focal length by using the Up/ Down button. Up button : moves the point of focus further away Down button : moves the point of focus nearer E (Effect) button ■ It is possible to add special effects to your images by using this button. ■ Still image mode : You can select the colour, outfocus, composite and frame menus. ■ Movie clip mode : You can select the colour and stabiliser menus. ■ Available Effects, by recording mode (O : Selectable X : Not selectable) O O O O O O X X O O O X X X O O O X X X O O O X O X X X X X Scene mode O O O O O X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X ※ This button will not operate in the Voice recording mode and some scene modes (Night, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Firework, Beach & Snow). If a special effect is selected, any previously selected special effects (preset focus frames; composite shooting; photo frame) are cancelled automatically. ■ Even if the camera is turned off, the special effect setting will be preserved. To cancel the special effect, select the sub menu in the Colour menu and select the sub menu in the rest special effect menu. 《27》

E (Effect) button
ASM button
It is possible to add special effects to your images by using this button.
Still image mode : You can select the colour, outfocus, composite and frame
menus.
Movie clip mode : You can select the colour and stabiliser menus.
Available Effects, by recording mode (O : Selectable X : Not selectable)
This button will not operate in the Voice recording mode and some scene modes
(Night, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Firework, Beach & Snow).
If a special effect is selected, any previously selected special effects (preset
focus frames; composite shooting; photo frame) are cancelled automatically.
Even if the camera is turned off, the special effect setting will be preserved.
To cancel the special effect, select the
sub menu in the Colour menu and
select the
sub menu in the rest special effect menu.
