Listening to Radio You can listen to the chosen band (FM broadcast stations) by using either the automatic or manual tuning operation. Remote Control Unit 1 Press TUNER button. 2 Tune in to the desired station. • The selection toggles back and forth between "FM ➝ AM" each time the FM button is pressed. Main Unit Automatic Tuning 1 When is pressed, a preset broadcast station is selected. Automatic Tuning 2 Press and hold TUNING/CH button to automatically search for active broadcasting stations. Manual Tuning Briefly press TUNING/CH button to increase or decrease the frequency incrementally. 1 Press the Function button to select the desired band (FM, AM). 2 Select a broadcast station. Automatic Tuning 1 Press the STOP button to select ( ) PRESET and then press button to select the preset station. Automatic Tuning 2 Press the STOP ( ) button to select "MANUAL" and then press and hold button to automatically search the band. Manual Tuning Press STOP ( MANUAL and ) to select then briefly press to tune in to a lower or higher frequency. Presetting Stations ENG You can store up to: 15 FM stations 15 AM stations • FM • AM Frequency Modulation Medium Wave Example: Presetting FM 89.1 in the memory 1Press the TUNER button and select the FM band. 2 Press TUNING/CH to select "89.10". • Each time the button is pressed, the band switches between "FM ➝ AM". • Refer to Step 2 on page 61 to automatically or manually tune in to a station. 3 Press the TUNER MEMORY button. • "PRGM" flashes in the display. 4 Press to select preset number. • You can select between 1 and 15. 5 Press the TUNER MEMORY button again. 6 To preset another station, repeat steps 2 to 5. • Press the TUNER MEMORY button before 'PRGM' disappears from the display. • 'PRGM' disappears from the display and the station is stored in memory. Note • Up to 15 stations (FM/AM each) you can save in memory. If you save more than 15 stations, the station preciously saved is removed from the oldest one and a new station will be stored in memory.
