Phone Settings Security tab The Security tab allows you to restore the factory default settings for your phone, and set emergency call numbers. Note: If you select the Phone Reset Button and confirm you want to reset your phone, all of your phone settings and user installed applications will be erased. You must enter your password before this can happen, but all settings are restored to their factory setting when you perform this operation. The Emergency call feature provides you with three numbers that you can assign and edit, as well as the three 911 emergency numbers, that can be called even when your phone is in lock mode. Although the 911 numbers appear in this list, they cannot be edited. To access the options on this menu follow these steps: 1. From the Today screen, tap Start ( ) located in the upper left corner of the screen. 2. Tap Settings ( ) and from the Personal tab, tap Phone ( ). 3. Tap the button of the function you want. Choose from the following: • Clear All Data (Phone Reset). For more information, refer to "Resetting your Phone to Factory Defaults" on page 40. • Emergency Call Note: If you select either Phone Reset, you will be prompted to enter your security password. By default this password is the last 4 digits of your phone number unless you have changed it. For more information about setting a password, see "Setting a Phone Password" on page 92. 4. and set emergency call numbers.
Note:
If you select the Phone Reset Button and confirm you want to reset your phone, all of your phone
