Message Folders

Receive Messages in Chat View When you exchange a series of text messages with a single Contact or number, you can view your incoming messages and your sent messages as if they were a "chat session". Only text messages appear in the Chat With screen ᮣ To use Chat View, you must set the Message Settings ➔ Text Msg View ➔ View Mode setting to Chat. Receive Messages While in a Call When you receive a message while in a call, one of the following occurs: • If Auto View is set to On - The message text automatically appears in the display and scrolls slowly to the end of the message. • A New Message notification appears in the display along with the closed envelope icon ( ). The date and time of the message and the following options also appear in the display: - View Now - Opens the message where you have the option to Reply, Forward, Erase, Add To Contacts, Lock/Unlock, Save Quick Text, Save Media, or Message Info. - View Later - Closes the popup and saves the message to your inbox where you can view it later. ᮣ Touch and drag the slider to the desired option. Message Folders The Message Folders include: Inbox, Outbox, Drafts and Voicemail. Received messages of all types (except Voicemail) are stored in the Inbox. ᮣ In standby mode, touch the Messages soft key, then touch the folder you wish to view to manage messages. 40
