Switching off the Microphone (Mute) You can temporarily switch your phone's microphone off, so that the other person cannot hear you. Example: You wish to say something to person in the room, but do not want the person on the phone to hear you. 1. Tap Mute . Mute The Mute button now appears as and Mute is Mute activated. 2. Tap Mute to deactivate the Mute function and Mute reactivate the microphone. Bluetooth Headset 1. Tap Bluetooth . Headset 2. The phone will scan for your Bluetooth headset. When found, connect to the headset. The Bluetooth button now appears as and the Headset Bluetooth headset is activated. 3. Tap Bluetooth to deactivate the Bluetooth headset Headset and reactivate the phone speaker. 59 Searching for a Number in Contacts List 1. During the active call, tap then tap Contacts. 2. Tap the Contacts List entry. For further details about the Contacts List feature, see "Finding an Contacts list Entry" on page 63. Call waiting You can answer an incoming call while you have a call in progress, if this service is supported by the network and you have previously set the Call waiting option to Activate. You are notified of an incoming call by a call waiting tone. To answer a new call while you have a call in progress: 1. In a single motion, touch and slide it in any direction to answer the new incoming call. 2. Tap an option from the Accept call after menu: • Putting xxx on hold to place the previous caller on hold while you answer the new incoming call. • Ending call with xxx to end the previous call and answer the new call.
