ANALOG A/V CONNECTIONS USING THE ANALOG VIDEO JACKS TO CONNECT A VCR (OR OTHER ANALOG DEVICE) Switch off DTV and external equipment before connecting cables. (Cables are not supplied.) 1 Connect VCR's Audio Video Out to the DTV's Video In jacks. NOTE: For Mono VCR (Single Audio Jack), connect VCR Audio Out to DTV Audio (L) Input. 2 Optional Connect VCR's S-Video Out to the DTV's S-Video In Jack. NOTE: S-Video jacks connection override Video jacks connection. 3 Press POWER to turn on the DTV, then turn on external equipment. 4 Press the INPUT to select VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2 to view the VCR program. NOTES: Do not connect external speakers directly to the DTV. When TV Speaker is in the ON mode, sound will be reproduced through your DTV and stereo amplifier. When TV Speaker is in the OFF mode, sound will be reproduced only through the stereo amplifier. (See page 20 to set DTV speakers.) There is NO need to tune to a blank channel. I VIDEO 1 and VIDEO 2 jacks have identical functions. Any compatible analog video device can be connected to either set of jacks. I "No Signal" will appear randomly on the screen when no signal is detected at the VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2 inputs. I Position your DTV at least 2 feet from stereo speakers. Connect the DTV Audio Out (R/L) to the Stereo
Amplifier In (R/L).

POWER
to turn on the DTV, then turn on
external equipment.
NOTES:
Do not
connect external speakers directly to the DTV.
