HELPFUL HINTS (Problems/Solutions) Because of the Quality we build into our product, very few problems are actual DTV defects. Most problems only involve simple hookup or setup changes that can be solved by the customer. Please check the chart below and try the solutions listed for your problem. Check these Conditions G Check signal (Cable/Ant.) connection. G Power surge protection feature. No picture, sound (Digital Picture). G Check antenna/external connections. G May be station trouble, NO signal broadcast. G MUTE function may be on. Try these Solutions Page No. G Press POWER key. G The sleep timer may have been set. G Unplug DTV momentarily. 5, 11 G Adjust antenna. 5, 12 G Try a different channel. G Press RESET key to restart channel search. G Adjust Volume. No Captioning. G Check if station is broadcasting a G Press CAPTION key to select 17 Closed-Caption signal. Select another Captioning. channel. Cannot customize G Digital Caption signal not broadcast. MTS stereo signal or a SAP signal. Cannot select or scan some channels. G Channel may be removed from memory. G Check antenna connections. G No digital signal being broadcast. G Signals are weak. G V-Guide is set to block programming. No Cable channels G Cable Channel Indicator C should above number 13. appear next to channel number. G Press AUDIO key. 12 G Select CH. Scan Memory and manually add channels or start CH. (channel) search. G Turn Antenna or install signal booster. G Set V-Guide to ALLOW ALL or press RESET key to clear all settings and restart channel search. 16 18 ~ 19 G Switch Antenna mode to Cable. 15 Remote Control G Check batteries. will not work DTV. G Check if DTV is plugged in. G Replace batteries. G Aim remote control at front of DTV. Cabinet makes popping sound.
