Seagate support team may ask you to provide this support file when troubleshooting technical issues. NOTE On ESXi 5.x systems, the specified must be on a Datastore, as other destination paths are ROMFS and non-persistent across reboots, with very limited space. Using destination paths other than datastores may result in vgc-diags failure due to lack of sufficient space. Depending on the size of X8 Accelerator device, and number of X8 Accelerator devices installed on the system, the diags dump file may grow up to a few GigaBytes. Insufficient disk space in the target path to store the diags may result in failure to create the diags file. ~ # ./opt/vgc/bin/vgc-diags -h vgc-diags: 3.2.55402.C7 Usage : vgc-diags -p|--outputpath [-v |--verbose] [device list] vgc-diags [-h|--help] Options : -h | --help : display this help and exit -v | --verbose : verbose, dumps quite detailed information -p | --outputpath : directory to save the diags file device list : list of devices in the format vgc[a,b,c...] : default is all X8 Accelerator devices detected in the system SEAGATE X8 ACCELERATOR FOR VMWARE ESXI USER GUIDE, REV.
